Reclaiming the Sierra 2017: Headwater Resiliency

May 8-10, 2017

The call for abstracts is closed, but The Sierra Fund is still accepting posters to our fourth biennial conference, Reclaiming the Sierra 2017: Headwater Resiliency. The poster session is scheduled for Monday, May 8 during the lunch hour from 12:00 – 1:00 pm and during the Evening Reception from 5:00 – 6:00 pm. We encourage the submission of posters that address the following conference themes:

  • Assessment and Abatement Strategies for Environmental Contaminants
  • Ecosystem Function and Resiliency
  • Policies to Promote Responsible Land Use and Management

Poster Dimensions

Please prepare posters to the following dimensions: 4′ (ft) wide by 3′ (ft) tall. Presenters are expected to mount their posters in the Main Hall of the conference venue on Monday, May 8 between 7:30 – 8:30 am. Alternatively, posters may be delivered to The Sierra Fund’s office by Friday, May 5. We ask that posters be left on display for the entirety of the two day conference.

Student Poster Competition

Student poster submissions will automatically be enrolled in the student poster competition, for which the following cash prizes will be awarded to the top three competitors, as judged by a panel of science experts:

  • First Place: $250
  • Second Place: $100
  • Third Place: $75
