Conference Facility
The Miners Foundry Cultural Center is a Gold Country landmark. Built in 1855 as a machine shop serving the growing local mines, the Foundry made history in 1879 as the birthplace of the Pelton Wheel, an invention that revolutionized hydroelectric power. The building was a fully functioning foundry into the 1960s. Today, its stone walls host cultural events, concerts and conferences.
